Becoming a Behavioral Therapist ( RBT)

Becoming a behavioral therapist is something not many choose to do but, it tends to be one of the most rewarding professions you can choose to be a part of.

My journey was quite interesting. I actually was an animal nurse before I started working with kids with autism. I studied animal behavior and relied on non-verbal cues in order to make my appointments successful. I feel this made me successful when working with my non-verbal clients at the start of my career. One thing I learned through the job change was that you don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. So I took the jump and became certified in the state to be a registered behavior technician. I took the jump and never looked back.
